My son just turned 18 . . .

I spent most of his birthday looking through old photographs

wondering where all the time went!

All I know is that it all passed by much too quickly!!

I spent some time looking at baby pictures . . . family pictures . . . sports pictures . . .

vacation pictures . . . and on and on it went!!

I found myself laughing, smiling and crying as the day went on . . .

and then I had what I thought to be a brilliant idea . . .

to start a little photo album on Facebook . . .

but – I quickly realized that you can’t put 18 years of memories

into an album on Facebook!!

Seriously – what was I thinking?!?!?

Well . . .

one set of photos was from our Portugal trip that we took in 2006 . . .

I believe it was one of the highlights of Pierre’s youth . . .

as well as a highlight for our whole family!!

Here are a few of those memories . . .

If you ever get a chance to visit Portugal . . . with the family – just do it!!

I promise you won’t regret it!!

This last photo was taken high above Pierre’s favorite beach . . .

I am quite sure that someday he will be back!!
